Oregano (Origanum vulgare) Oil from dōTERRA® Essential Oils
Powerful antioxidant protection and immune support
Oregano oil has a heavy, herbaceous, spicy, pungent aroma that really lingers. No one would ever confuse it with perfume. However, what it lacks as a perfume, it more than makes up for in other important ways. Oregano oil
- has powerful anti-viral properties. Studies have shown it to be highly damaging to many kinds of virsuses.
- has been demonstrated to be 99% effective at reducing airborne bacteria (see below).
With a score of 153,007 µTE/100 g on the antioxidant ORAC scale, oregano oil has proven itself as an outstanding antioxidant that provides powerful help in fighting the effects of free radicals.

About oregano oil:
Recent laboratory research, conducted at Weber State University (Ogden, Utah), has shown oregano oil to have a remarkable kill rate of 99% against in vitro (outside of the human body) colonies of Streptococcus pneumoniae, even when used in 1% concentration. (The S. pneumoniae is responsible for many kinds of lung and throat infections.)
Oregano oil also has strong immune-enhancing properties, and supports the digestive and respiratory systems.
One of my friends said that, when she wore oregano oil, she smelled like an Italian restaurant. That might be true, but its fragrance also creates a feeling of strength and security. It's a nice trade-off.
How to use: Apply topically neat (i.e.: undiluted) to the bottoms of the feet. Dilute with fractionated coconut oil if applying elsewhere on the skin. Add to food for flavoring, or dilute in rice milk to use as a dietary supplement. Diffuse to purify air.
There are so many powerful uses for oregano oil, I'd strongly encourage you to obtain a copy of the Modern Essentials, 2nd Edition and learn how to use this amazing oil to its fullest advantage.
