doTERRA®'s Essential Oil Cold Air Diffuser gives you the benefit of diffusing essential oils throughout your home or office. Diffusing is a simple and effective way to use essential oils (see Why You Should Diffuse Therapeutic-Grade Essential Oils for more on this). Oils are dispersed in a micro-fine vapor, allowing them to remain suspended in the air for extended periods of time.
The diffuser disperses the oils without heating them, so they retain their therapeutic benefits. When inhaled, the oils are easily absorbed through the lungs. Depending on the oil used, diffusing can cleanse the air of odor, calm overactive children and support respiration.
The pump is not compliant with EU voltage. It is designed for use with 120 volts.
How to use:
Using the Diffuser: The Lotus Ultrasonic Diffuser consists of an ultrasonic nebulizer with a well for the oil and water, a well cap to direct the mist into the room, and a detachable power cord. Attached to the power cord is a switch with 3 settings. The 3 diffuser settings are 1 hour, 15 seconds off/30 seconds on, and off. Included in the package is a platic container with a 70ml line and a cleaning brush.
Assembly: Carefully remove the parts from the packaging and read the directions.
Operating Instructions: Fill the plastic container to the 70ml line with clean, filtered water. Add 3-5 drops of CPTG® essential oil to the water and pour into the diffuser well (Water should not be above the top of the Level Indicator line in the diffuser.) Place the cap over the well and plug the adapter into the socket at the rear of the diffuser, then plug into an 110VAC power outlet. (Do not power the diffuser until the bowl is correctly filled with water.) Set the diffuser switch to the desired operating mode and enjoy your diffusing experience. (1 hour runs the diffuser for an hour and then shuts off. The other option continuously pulses the diffuser on for 30 seconds then off for 15 seconds for 1 hour and then shuts off.)
Changing Oils: You can change from a single oil to a blend or from a blend to a single. Simply turn the selector switch to off, and then empty, clean, and refill the diffuser well.
Mixing Oils: Avoid mixing two or more blends, as this may change the desired results. A single oil may be added to a blend, or two single oils may be mixed together and diffused. Avoid using vegetable oils, such a V-6 Mixing Oil, massage oils or other vegetable-based oils in your diffuser. Oils of this thickness may clog the diffuser.
Cleaning the Diffuser: Pour out any liquid in the diffuser well. Put clean water in the well and use the included brush to lightly scrub the metal ring and black projection at the bottom of the well. When done scrubbing, pour out the water and allow the diffuser to air dry
How often should a diffuser be used? The oils from each hour of diffuser running will remain suspended in the air for 5-6 hours. One daily diffusion of an hour is recommended for anyone who is experiencing oils for the first time. In large offices or commercial areas, the diffuser should be used once/day, until everyone in the area becomes acquainted with the oils. After that point, it may run as often as you desire.
