About avocado oil:
Persea Americana is native to New Zealand, and is a member of the Lauraceae botanical family. The oil is cold pressed from the fruit.

Excellent for all types of cooking, avocado oil also makes superb dressings and dips. Besides the flavor factor, it also contains proteins and vitamins A, D and E.
High in monounsaturated fats — the "good" fats that help to reduce LDL ("bad") cholesterol in the bloodstream — avocado oil also has a very high content of the natural plant compound Beta-Sitosterol. This not only helps to prevent absorption of LDL cholesterol, but also assists in redressing balance by promoting HDL ("good") cholesterol.
